[ 2B doesn't rightly remember when she'd realized that none of this has been right from the very beginning; she'd been so content to follow her orders that she lost herself in them. Her love for 9S hadn't happened overnight, but it had taken her over all the same, dictating her every thought and action ever since she came to the realization of its existence.

The realization in 9S' face tells her that her answer had been effective in achieving her goal, and as she refastens her skirt around her waist, she squares her jaw. At his answer, she inclines her head. ]

I trust your judgement. [ 2B says, and she does. When she looks at him, terrified and seemingly so small on the bed, she wants nothing more than to hold him. But she doesn't. Instead, she silently promises to protect him from whatever comes their way. There will be no punishments or decommissioning for them, simply because 2B won't allow it.

At his next question, 2B pauses. ]
