[ 2B is at the end of her arc when she glances 9S' way, the flower delicately held in his hands catching her attention immediately. Her weapon dissipates as she straightens, his words registering immediately. Some part of her wonders if she should crush it. If she should laugh at him, or berate him.
A bigger part of her feels as if she's suddenly become small and cold. The look on his face, so earnest and innocent, steals her breath and makes her feel like falling.
With a remarkably steady hand, 2B reaches for the flower. ]
... A token of courtship. Or simple affection. [ 2B says softly. Some deep, rebellious part of her wonders if she should just take it, if she should just ignore the directive given to her in spite of her programming. The both of them would be branded traitors and would need to live the rest of their lives on the run from YoRHa pursuers, but they would be together, and for her... That would be enough.
